There are three important factors in design of LED display:The requirement of contents show;space conditions;the size of display unit  template or pixel.
Ordinary LED display resolution is 768 lines × 1024 columns in general.Speical LED display can exceed this limit,but the cost is higher.
The following is indoor LED display design reference size:
φ3.0mm point spacing is 4.00 mm,the maximum size of screen:2.0 m (high) * 3 m
φ3.75mm point spacing is 4.75 mm.the maximum size of screen:2.5 m (H) * 4 m
φ5.0mm point spacing is 7.62 mm,the maximum size of screen:3.7 m (H) × 6 m
In the design of indoor display geometry size,should be based on the size of the display unit emplate.The resolution of unit template is 32 lines × 80 columns,that is 2048 pixels.The geometric size pixels are as follows:
φ3.75mm unit template size:153 mm (high) × 306 mm (W)
φ5 mm unit template size: 244 mm (high) × 488mm (W)
The size of indoor LED display frame can be determined by require.The frame size is usually 4 cm to 10 cm.
For outdoor LED display,the first determined factor is pixel.Pixel selection should be considered the installation location and line of sight.If the installation location and the main line of sight farther,the pixel size should be larger.Because the larger pixel size,the higher brightness of LED display.
